The wider impact of gentrification
Gentrification, the trabsformation of urban space for more affluent users, is often attributed an important role in driving neighbourhood change in contemporary cities. However, as Cody Hochstenbach argues, less attention is paid to the wider social-spatial of the process. Hochstenbach's aim is to increase our understanding of the impact of gentrification on social-spatial inequalities at the urban-regional level, focusing specifically on Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
