    Yasemin Sivri has completed her Master’s in International Relations with a special focus on East Asia at the University of Groningen. She wrote her thesis on data governance in China and in the US and its effects on their respective political systems. She is currently doing her PhD on propaganda and disinformation in competitive autocracies. Her research interests include politics and technology, autocracies and hybrid regimes, legitimacy and (de)legitimization, and Chinese politics and IR. She is also the current PhD representative for her research group PETGOV.
