ACCS Book Talk by Niloufer Siddiqui
Drawing on qualitative and survey data from Pakistan, Under the Gun: Political Parties and Violence in Pakistan argues that party violence is not a simple manifestation of weak state capacity but instead the intentional product of political incentives, further complicating the process of democratization. On June 30th, Niloufer Siddiqui will provide further insight into this research upon invitation from the ACCS.
