Milan is Associate Professor in the Political Economy of Finance in the Political Economy and Transnational Governance (PETGOV) programme group. His research deals with the transition of the global political economy towards a post-neoliberal global order. He specifically works on the political economy of decarbonization, green finance and geoeconomics.
Milan is Principal Investigator of the DECARB Project (funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark), which aims to understand how state ownership can be rapidly and justly decarbonized. He also holds an Early Career Fellowship from the Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF).
Previously, Milan was an Assistant Professor of Global Political Economy at Roskilde University and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Maastricht University.
