Profile
Wangui is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam. She is affiliated with ClimateFiGS, an ERC-Sponsored project that seeks to understand the allocation and mobilization of climate finance in the Global South. Her dissertation examines the political economy of climate finance in select African countries.
Wangui has a deep interest in the use of computational methods for social science research, following her MSc in Computational Economics, Financial Markets and Policy at the University of Essex. She holds a Bachelors in Financial Economics from Strathmore University, Nairobi.
