Charlotte van der Veen is a PhD candidate in the Crafting Resilience project. In her research project, which is supervised by prof. dr. Anouk de Koning, she studies the role of experiential expertise in the (re-)making of welfare relations and futures in the Netherlands.
Charlotte obtained her BA in Literary Studies at the VU, and her MA in Cultural Analysis from the UvA. Outside academia, she has several years of work experience in the field of peer support and client advocacy.
Charlotte is a PhD researcher in the Crafting Resilience project, which studies the politics and practice of social resilience across the Netherlands. The project is led by Anouk de Koning (UvA), Femke Kaulingfreks (UvA and InHolland), and Maartje van der Woude (Leiden University). My PhD is part of the research line that examines new social policies seeking to collaborate with beneficiaries and the neighborhood.
